“The Wire’’ actor Michael K. Williams was found dead of a suspected drug overdose in his Brooklyn penthouse Monday afternoon, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Drug paraphernalia was found in the five-time Emmy nominee’s apartment, suggesting the acclaimed 54-year-old actor may have fatally OD’d, possibly from heroin or fentanyl, sources said.

Without any spoilers, it's basically the story of how hundreds of new rehab clinics have sprung up since Obama care was introduced........these clinics are basically paying addicts to go to rehab and making billions of dollars a year out of them.

The kicker being, once released the addict is gently funnelled back into a world of addiction.......and the process starts all over again!
It's shocking what they're doing.

Film's definitely worth a watch....

Elaborate cos I am not gonna watch it.
I watched Amy Winehouse literally kill herself. I'm not name dropping. I'm the quiet close confident that doesn't sell a story. But I watched what Heroin did. If I knew what I knew now and was able to get to this guy I would have saved his life. I also know who her dealer was and should be paid millions cos it would change alot of perspective. Maybe if I sell the story, I'll put loads into rhe Gavros fund and u will all protect me from the gangsters.

I dont know if you'd call it irony or pathos, but check out his last film from earlier this year 'Body Brokers' on Netflix.....cant help but wonder if being around that story line had any affect?

Omar Little like Tony Soprano was unbelievable well written. And superbly acted. And unfortunately both actors passed away well too early.

Normally I don't post on these threads but fuck me this hit me hard for reasons I won't go into. Loved the character of Omar. Loved the show and spent a while in the Baltimore neighbourhood where The Wire was filmed. As tough an area as any I've ever been to. RIP.
